Sunbird Vacations adds 13 resorts in Hawaii for 1996

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 1995--Sunbird Vacations announced today that it will add 13 resorts to its product line in Hawaii to bring the total resorts offered to over 90.

They have added one resort in Waikiki, six on Maui, four in Kauai and two on the Big Island of Hawaii.

"With the addition of our new Non-Stop service from Salt Lake City and the increase in Non-Stop service from Phoenix and Chicago we have had to increase our room capacity to meet the increased demand," said Tomina Huters, General Manager for Sunbird Vacations.

"We conducted extensive surveys in Utah as we have in Arizona, California and Ohio to ensure that we have the right hotels and condominiums for the individual markets," added Tomina. "Each market has their own preferences and personal favorites and we have always tailored our product to the individual market."

The resorts added are the Waikiki Circle in Waikiki, the Aston Maui Park, Kauhale Makai, Maui Hill, Kahana Villa, Maui Banyan and the Maui Marriott on Maui, the Kauai Sands, the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club, Kauai Beach Villas and the Poipu Shores on Kauai, the Kona Seaside and Kona Surf on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The 1996 color brochures featuring all of the newly added resorts is due out in September. Sunbird Vacations offers Hawaii vacation packages from California via Hawaiian Airlines and from Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Chicago via American Trans Air. They also offer Premier Club Caribbean Vacation Packages from all the U.S. via American Airlines.
