Robert C. King joins Advanced Photonix Inc. as vice president of business development

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 1995--Advanced Photonix Inc. (ASE:API) announced the appointment of Robert C. King as vice president, business development.
King has an outstanding record of achievement over a period of 25 years in direct sales and sales/marketing management in high- technology industries. He has held senior sales and marketing positions with PCO of Chatsworth, Calif., a subsidiary of Corning and an affiliate of IBM; with Wangtek of Simi Valley, Calif.; and with Granger Associates (Digital Switch Corp.) of Santa Clara, Calif.
In announcing the appointment, James W. Ward, chairman of the board of Advanced Photonix, said: ``We are fortunate to find a senior executive of Bob's caliber to lead us in pursuit of our marketing and sales-growth objectives. Bob has a great track record of significantly increasing bookings and sales in rapidly growing high- technology companies.''
King received his BSME degree, cum laude, from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and has since been associated with the marketing of a broad array of electronic and fiber-optic-related components, products and systems, primarily into datacom, telecom and computer- peripheral markets.
Advanced Photonix is a leading designer and manufacturer of opto-electronic semiconductor-based components and hybrid assemblies, including proprietary solid-state silicon Large Area Avalanche photodiodes, located in Camarillo.
