Informatica Announces OpenBridge; New Data Extraction Software Dramatically Streamlines Construction of Data Warehouses
Business Wire, Feb 14, 1995
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 1995--Informatica Corp. (Menlo Park, Calif.) Tuesday announced OpenBridge (TM), a next-generation data warehousing software tool suite that enables corporations to extract and load legacy data into client/server databases with much greater ease than other commercially available products.
OpenBridge is shipping now and will be demonstrated this week in Booth 105 at the Data Warehousing Conference in Orlando.
OpenBridge is the first product on the market to address the complex issue of inflexible data warehouse construction. Unlike other data extraction tools, OpenBridge does not rely on code generation. OpenBridge uses dynamic processes configured on the fly to load data directly into the data warehouse, eliminating the need to re-generate code in response to changes.
