Moore, 50, joined adidas in 1993 when adidas AG purchased Sports Inc., the sports marketing firm he co-founded in 1987. At that time adidas AG, the parent company of adidas America, named Moore its worldwide creative director and later that year to the additional position of CEO for the North American subsidiary. Moore is also a member of the adidas AG board of directors.
At the same time, Moore today named Steven E. Wynne president and CEO of adidas America. Wynne, a Portland attorney, will report to Moore. Moore said, "This is a good thing for adidas America. Steve Wynne has been involved with the footwear industry for more than a decade. He has been a part of the adidas America team since its inception and was a valued advisor in the business of Sports Incorporated." Wynne is a founding partner of the Portland law firm Ater Wynne Hewitt Dodson & Skerritt. He joins adidas America March 1.
"I'm excited to join adidas America and the people to whom I have been very close for many years," said Wynne. "This move is an example of how closely Ater Wynne becomes involved in the success of its clients."
adidas America designs, markets and distributes adidas footwear and apparel in the United States and Canada. The company also has global responsibility for 8 key business units, including basketball, training and adventure.
