Red Pepper Software allies with Oracle Corp. to bring intelligent agent-based scheduling to manufacturers

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 1995--Red Pepper Software Co. today announced that Oracle Corp. has selected Red Pepper's ResponseAgent manufacturing planning and scheduling software for use across a wide range of industries.
The alliance enables sites employing Oracle Manufacturing software to dramatically improve responsiveness to their customers with Red Pepper's intelligent agent-based planning and scheduling technology. As part of this alliance, Red Pepper Software joins Oracle's Cooperative Applications Initiative.
ResponseAgents enable responsiveness with real-time planning and scheduling that manages unpredictability in any manufacturing variable. These variables, such as capacity, customer demand or material availability are simultaneously considered according to the user's business objectives. The ResponseAgents seamlessly integrate with the Oracle Manufacturing system to capture materials and customer information. After integrating this information with a detailed model of the manufacturer's supply chain, the ResponseAgents create optimized plans and schedules.
