Workforce announces orders of Thaw Master® from Linens 'N Things

ALCOA, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 1995--Workforce Systems Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: WFSC), the exclusive manufacturer for the Thaw Master(R) thawing tray, announced today that Naturale Home Products Inc., the company that developed and markets the Thaw Master(R), has received an initial order from Linens 'N Things for units of the Thaw Master(R) thawing trays.

Linens 'N Things, a home furnishings destination chain with approximately 144 stores nationwide, initially focused on offering department-store linens at off prices and entered the cookware market in force in mid-1993. Since that time, it focused its efforts on eliminating many of its smaller stores with 30,000 to 50,000 square-foot super stores.

Linens 'N Things is a division of Melville Corp. (NYSE: MES) a specialty retailer whose diverse holdings include Marshalls, Wilsons, CVS Drugs, Tom McAn, FootAction, Accessory Lady, Freddy's, This End Up and Kay-Bee toy stores.

Workforce, a provider of specialized labor services on a contract basis to businesses, also owns 15 percent of Naturale and receives a royalty of from $.30 to $.50 on each Thaw Master(R) sold by Naturale in addition to the profit on the contract manufacturing.
