HydroChem Industrial Services acquires Halliburton business unit

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 1995--HydroChem Industrial Services, Inc. announced today that it has acquired the Halliburton Industrial Services business unit of Brown & Root Industrial Services, a subsidiary of Halliburton Company. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Halliburton Industrial Services provides chemical cleaning, hydrojetting and vacuum removal services to the petrochemical and refining, pulp and paper, and power industries throughout the United States. Revenues were approximately $45 million in 1993.

Tom Carter Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of HydroChem. "With these additional resources, HydroChem is well positioned to remain a leading provider of industrial cleaning services." Carter noted that HydroChem revenues have increased substantially in the past year from internally driven growth.
HydroChem Industrial Services, headquartered in Houston, is a privately held company with operations throughout the United States, in Kuwait and Singapore. HydroChem is wholly focused on providing industrial cleaning services to various industries including hydrocarbon processing, both fossil fueled and nuclear power generation, pulp and paper mills, marine, steel and pipeline.
