KEANE, INC. ANNOUNCES TWO VICE PRESIDENT APPOINTMENTS; Edward H. Longo Appointed Sr. VP and GM of ISD Edward Sugrue Appointed VP, Human Resources

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 12, 1995--Software services company Keane, Inc. (AMEX: KEA) has promoted Edward H. Longo to Senior Vice President and General Manager for the company's Information Services Division (ISD). Longo heads all ISD sales and operating activities for the $350 million company, which provides information systems planning, custom application development, outsourcing, and project management training for large corporations across the U.S. and Canada.
Ray E. Becker, who had served as a regional ISD Vice President for more than nine years, has decided to take early retirement from the company.
Further, Edward Sugrue has been appointed Vice President, Human Resources and a member of Keane's Executive Committee. Sugrue is responsible for personnel selection, development, and benefits administration, as well as oversight of the company's organizational activities. Sugrue replaces Human Resources VP Don Amaya, who has left the company.
Edward Longo Background
Backed with more than 25 years of management and related data processing business experience, Longo has held positions of increasing responsibility since joining Keane in 1980, including branch manager for Keane's Greater Boston branch and vice president for the New England area. In 1993, he was appointed vice president of Keane's eastern region and a member of the company's Executive Committee. Longo holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Boston College.
Edward Sugrue Background
A seven-year member of Keane's management team, Sugrue has excelled at managing the company's business operations and has demonstrated an outstanding understanding of Keane's personnel and organizational needs. Sugrue joined Keane in 1988, was appointed branch manager for the Greater Boston office in 1989, and in 1992, was promoted to business area manager for New England. He also held senior management positions at Reardon Associates, Wang, and Polaroid.
