RMMG issues news release clarification regarding Mossberg, Wall Street Journal
Business Wire, Jan 17, 1995
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 1995 Rizzuti Marketing & Media Group, Inc. Tuesday issued a clarification regarding a news release the company distributed on Dec. 6, 1994.
In the third paragraph of that release, the company mentioned a story regarding QuickXpense expense management software from RMMG's client, Portable Software Corporation, that appeared in the Oct. 27, 1994 issue of the Wall Street Journal in the Personal Technology column written by Walter S. Mossberg.
The wording of that paragraph implied that RMMG was somehow responsible for "placing" that column. This impression is not correct. RMMG had nothing to do with the topic selection, research, writing, editing, or timing of that column, or with any other aspect of it. RMMG's only role was to call Mossberg to arrange for him to see the QuickXpense product. Neither the firm nor its employees had any other contact with Mossberg.
RMMG regrets and apologizes for any misinterpretation or any inconvenience this incorrectly worded news release may have caused Mossberg, the Wall Street Journal or Portable Software Corporation.
