SoftPoint Inc. announces first-quarter earnings

RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 1995--SoftPoint Inc. (BoSE:SFT) Thursday reported results for the first quarter ended Nov. 30, 1994.
Revenues for the three months ended Nov. 30, 1994, were $706,810. Adjusting for a change in the accounting of international software sales, the restated sales for the comparable period last year would be $435,305, reflecting an approximate 62 percent increase in sales for the three-month period ended Nov. 30, 1994, compared with sales for the same period last year.
Earnings for the quarter equated to a loss of $.007 per share. Earnings for the year ended Aug. 31, 1994, were a loss of 82 cents per share.
Sales of the company's retail point-of-sale systems were composed partly from an ongoing contract with NASDAQ-traded Gander Mountain (GNDR), a sporting-goods/apparel company located in Wilmot, Wis.; and Bear Creek, the gift-goods retail and catalog company located in Medford, Ore. In addition, the company shipped systems to Allied Sporting Goods of Louisville, Ky., and Harvey's Hotel and Casino, located in South Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Sales of the company's Fast Food Express 2000 POS system were made to an Arby's franchisee located in Oahu, Hawaii.
SoftPoint develops and markets software and hardware point-of- sale cash-register solutions for the retail industry as well as for the fast-food industry.
