AM International names new officer of parent company and president of its multigraphics division

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1995--AM International Inc. (ASE:AM) Thursday named David A. Roberts vice president of the parent company, and president of its AM Multigraphics division effective Jan. 30, 1995.
Roberts, 47, replaces George H. Gilmore Jr., who resigned in July 1994 to become president of the business systems division of Moore Corp. Ltd.
As an officer of the parent company, Roberts will play a key role in the direction of AM International and as president of AM Multigraphics, Roberts will assume day-to-day management of the corporation's largest division, with more than 50,000 customers worldwide. He will also assume management of a network of more than 70 independent dealers selling in approximately 80 countries.

Roberts comes to AM International from FMC Corp. where he, since 1993, was division manager for the Chicago-based packaging and material handling division. Prior to 1993, Roberts was vice president and general manager of the management services central region of Pitney Bowes, a manufacturer and marketing company which provides business equipment, services and supplies.
Roberts held various executive positions at Pitney Bowes from 1983 to 1993.
Roberts, a graduate of Purdue University, received his M.B.A. from Indiana University.
AM International, with corporate headquarters in Mount Prospect, sells and services a wide range of printing and print production equipment, newspaper mailroom systems and bindery systems, and provides services and supplies to the worldwide graphics industry.
The company's common stock is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "AM," and its warrants trade under the symbol "AM.WS." AM international has annual revenues of approximately $500 million and employs approximately 3400 people.
