Tundra Environmental Corporation announces share acquisition of Covino Environmental Corporation

MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 1995--TUNDRA ENVIRONMENTAL (Alberta Stock Exchange: TUN) Tundra Environmental Corporation Limited (Tundra) is pleased to announce that it has acquired 100 percent of the issued and outstanding shares of Covino Environmental Corporation (CEC) of Woburn, Massachusetts, in exchange for common shares of Tundra which were valued at 75 cents per share, reflecting a total value of $560,445 CDN.

CEC is an environmental consulting company specializing in the areas of Indoor Air Quality, Industrial Hygiene and Air Emissions Engineering.

CEC will be amalgamated with Tundra's existing air engineering businesses thereby forming one of the largest indoor air groups in New England. The business will be operated under the new name, Tundra Air Engineering, with offices in Boston, Atlanta, Princeton (New Jersey), Manhattan, Columbia (Maryland), Norristown (Pennsylvania) and Markham (Ontario).

CEC was acquired by and will be operated by Briggs Associates, Inc. (Briggs) which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tundra. Briggs is also a provider of Environmental Consulting Services employing over 300 professionals in twelve locations in the United States.

The addition of CEC to Briggs will allow the Corporation to provide clients with a broader range of environmental services.

Tundra is a public corporation with its shares listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange traded under the symbol TUN, headquartered in Markham, Ontario.
