BMC Software names head of European operations

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1994--BMC Software Inc. Wednesday announced that former Data Switch Corp. and Siemens Nixdorf USA executive Gerd Ordelheide has joined the company as senior vice president of European operations.
In that capacity, Ordelheide is responsible for managing the sales, support, administrative and development activities for all of BMC Software's European subsidiaries, distributors and agents.

Ordelheide joins BMC Software with more than twenty years of technology experience. He held a variety of positions within IBM Germany and IBM Canada. Ordelheide also served in several management positions at Siemens Nixdorf (formerly Nixdorf) in Germany and the United States, the last as executive vice president of Siemens Nixdorf USA. In 1993, Ordelheide joined Data Switch Corp., a supplier of high-speed availability equipment and networks to Fortune 1000 companies across 40 countries. While there, Ordelheide had responsibility for developing international operations in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
