NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1995--U.S. News & World Report and CNN have teamed up to produce a new poll on consumer issues sponsored by IBM that will appear on CNN, in U.S. News & World Report and on U.S. News Online on the CompuServe Information Service.
CNN has created a new segment, "Tomorrow Today," that begins airing Jan. 14 which will feature the poll. "Tomorrow Today," which will run six times every weekend, focuses on information technology and problem-solving through technology. The reports will run approximately two minutes in length and are sponsored by IBM.
U.S. News will publish the poll results starting with the January 23 issue, available on newsstand January 16. The poll results will be published in a new feature on the Newswatch page in NEWS YOU CAN USE. U.S. News will publish the poll every other week in the magazine and every week in U.S. News Online.
The poll, conducted by the Gallup Organization, will feature consumer attitudes and behavior on topics ranging from neighborhood crime to information technology, health and investing in future weeks. Members of the news staffs at CNN and U.S. News are working together to jointly determine poll topics. A joint logo will be used when the poll airs on CNN and is published in U.S. News.
"Tomorrow Today" will be broadcast on the weekend programs SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY WEEK, FUTURE WATCH, CNN PRIME NEWS and other weekend dayparts. Each report will direct CNN viewers to read the upcoming issue of U.S. News & World Report or log onto CNN's online forum or U.S. News Online on CompuServe for more information on the topic.
