New Argos Gameware ArtApart jigsaw puzzles for Windows boast sound effects, animation, 3-D interlocking pieces, game variations and 12 fresh color images

MAYWOOD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 1995--Argos Gameware announces a new multimedia jigsaw puzzle set for Windows that lets players reassemble wonderful color pictures from as few or as many pieces as they wish, from 15 to more than a thousand, but never lets them lose a piece. Optional sound effects (requires sound card), animation and game table variations accompany the action as players slide the pictured interlocking 3D pieces into place. The new ArtApart(TM) jigsaw puzzle set for Windows with 12 images is available for $39.95 (all prices suggested US resale at participating resellers; inquiries invited).

Play begins with the selection of a picture, then the number of pieces to cut. On audio-capable systems, the sounds of scissors cutting, pieces clicking together and an admiring crowd add a few grins to the pure pleasure of playing. The 3D-look interlocking pieces (with the familiar little knobs and sockets on each side) can scramble all over the on-screen playing table, even underneath each other. Players who choose from the more challenging ArtApart game options will appreciate its ability to save puzzles in progress, and resume them later.

Argos also offers new Argos Gameware Entertainment Digest(TM), Volume I for Windows ($29.95). Entertainment Digest, Volume I includes Alien Checkers, Jewel Thief, Maze Master, DoubleMatch and Quadrille solitaire plus sample ArtApart and WordHunter puzzles.
