Dodge joins Time Warner Cable's Full Service Network

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 1995--David L. Dodge has been named vice president - Software Systems for Time Warner Cable's Full Service Network.

Dodge will coordinate the development of the Full Service Network's new interactive network applications and software systems, according to Tom Feige, president, Time Warner Cable's Full Service Network.

Dodge will also lead the development of software systems necessary to support future interactive applications requirements. He will also take part in determining the business model for nationwide commercial deployment of interactive television.

Previously, Dodge was vice president of Engineering for Media Cybernetics in Silver Spring, Md., where he managed the design and development of numerous software products and projects. He was responsible for the development of Halo Multimedia Suite(tm), a multimedia authoring application, and Gel-Pro Analyzer(tm), an analytic imaging application for the analysis of DNA/RNA.

Dodge also conceived, designed, and developed original inventions, one of which laid the foundation for the laser printer industry. He has served as a software engineering consultant to both government and private clients.

He has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University.

Time Warner Cable's Full Service Network is a digital, interactive television network that provides customers in Orlando on-demand access to a variety of entertainment and informational services. The Full Service network is integrating the technologies from the cable, computer, and telephone industries to provide interactive television, telephony and, eventually, on-line computer services.

Time Warner Cable is the nation's second largest cable television operator, currently serving nine million customers in 37 states. After closing later this year of several recently announced cable acquisitions, the company will serve approximately 11.5 million customers. It is a unit of Time Warner Entertainment Co., L.P.
