E.R. Haggar, Jr. named president and CEO, The Apparel Group

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 1995--Eddie R. Haggar, Jr. has been named president and chief executive officer of The Apparel Group, (TAG) Ltd., effective immediately, the company has announced.
Haggar, founder of Eddie Haggar Ltd., and grandson of The Haggar Clothing Co. founder, J.M. Haggar, Sr. was selected following an extensive one-year search. David Glasser, chief operating officer of The Apparel Group has been acting CEO during this period.
TAG, a manufacturer of men's and women's moderate to better furnishings and sportswear, includes among its portfolio of brands, ENRO, B.D. BAGGIES, DAMON WILSON "Hole 'N One" Golf Apparel, WOLVERINE Apparel, ROOSTER and FOXCROFT. In addition, the company's Fashion Product Division supplies major retail chains with private label merchandise. TAG Limited and its associates TAL Apparel Group of Companies (TAP) together produce one out of every eight dress shirts sold in the United States. TAP is one of the largest Southeast Asian-based, vertically integrated, textile and garment manufacturing companies.

TAG employs over 1,100 people, and has state-of-the-art facilities in Louisville, Ky., where the company manufactures and distributes shirts and neckwear in addition to its extensive manufacturing capability in the Far East and the Caribbean. TAG reported sales of over $110 million for 1994. Executive offices are located at 1370 Avenue of the Americas with showrooms in New York; Plano and Dallas, Texas; and Chicago.
Haggar, will be relocating from Dallas to New York City.
