Network General Announces New Board Member; Industry Expert Brings New Network Strategy Perspective to Board of Directors

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 1995--Network General Corporation (NASDAQ:NETG) announced today that Janet L. Hyland has joined the company's Board of Directors.

Hyland, 39, is the president of eMagine, a newly-formed marketing consulting firm for the electronic age based in Cambridge, MA.

"Janet's experience in analyzing the impact of emerging networking technologies on large businesses will complement the existing strengths Network General's board," said Les Denend, President and CEO of Network General.

Prior to four years with Forrester Research as director of the Network Strategy Service, Hyland spent five years as a strategic planner for Digital Equipment Corporation's networks business. In addition, over a six year tenure at Dun & Bradstreet's systems software division, she was promoted from International Marketing Manager to Senior Product Manager and then Director of Marketing.
