Sagent Appoints Perry Mizota to Top Marketing Spot; Former Sybase and Business Objects star to lead marketing charge for data warehousing start-up

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 1995--Sagent Technology, Inc., the newest entrant in the fast-growing data warehousing and decision support tools markets, today announced the appointment of Perry Mizota, 34, as vice president of marketing. Formerly vice president of marketing for Business Objects, Inc., Mizota brings more than eight years of high-technology and database marketing experience to the newly formed Sagent.

In his new position, Mizota will oversee Sagent's worldwide marketing efforts, including marketing strategy, business alliances, product marketing, communications and direct marketing activities. Prior to joining Business Objects in 1993, Mizota was director of strategic marketing for database leader Sybase, Inc. He has also held marketing and product management positions with Hewlett-Packard and technical positions with Hughes Aircraft Company. Mizota holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Southern California and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
