Intertape Polymer Group Inc. Announces Entry Into The Stretch Wrap Market

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 1995--Intertape Polymer Group Inc. announced today it is entering the stretch wrap market. Stretch wrap is a polyethylene based product used to secure material on pallets. The North American market is estimated to be in excess of U.S. $750 million and growing at approximately 10 p.cent per year. The Company will invest over U.S. $20 million on this project and will have a capacity by mid 1996 of over 100 million pounds in this 1 billion pound market.
Intertape Polymer Group Inc. develops and manufacturs a wide variety of specialized polyolefin plastic packaging products for industrial uses. These include pressure sensitive carton sealing tape and automated equipment; shrink film "Exlfilm Brand"; woven polypropylene sheets, rolls, bags and heavy duty shippers; and plastic beverage containers. The Company is headquartered in Montreal, Canada with manufacturing facilities in Crowley, Louisiana; Danville, Virginia; St.Laurent, Quebec; Tampa, Florida; Truro, Nova Scotia; and Porto, Portugal.
