Cleverly To Become President, Braun U.S. And Group General Manager, Braun North America

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 1995--A. Bruce Cleverly has been appointed President, Braun U.S. and Group General Manager, Braun North America, subsidiaries of The Gillette Company (NYSE:G), effective October 1, 1995.
Mr. Cleverly, who is currently General Manager, Gillette Northern Europe, will be responsible for Braun operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He succeeds Peter K. Hoffman, who has been appointed Senior Vice President, Business Management of Gillette North Atlantic. Mr. Hoffman will also assume his new position on October 1.

His North American and European experience has already given him extensive contacts with many of Braun's important accounts."
Mr. Cleverly, 50, joined The Gillette Company in 1975. After holding a number of sales and marketing positions in the U.S. Safety Razor Division, he was appointed Director of Marketing for Gillette Canada in 1985. In 1987, he was named President of the Gillette Canada Shaving Division. He returned to the U.S. in 1988 as Vice President, Marketing for the Gillette North Atlantic Shaving Group.
In 1992, Mr. Cleverly was appointed General Manager of Gillette Northern Europe, which encompasses the United Kingdom, Scandinavian, and Dutch markets.
A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Mr. Cleverly is a graduate of Washington & Lee University. He earned a master's degree in administration from George Washington University.
