Proposed initial public offering of2.2 million shares of Class A common stock of Taitron Components Inc

SANTA CLARITA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 1995--Taitron Components Inc. (the ``company'') Tuesday announced that it has filed a Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of up to 2.2 million shares of its Class A common stock, par value $0.001 per share.

All of the shares are being offered by the company. The Registration Statement also covers 330,000 shares to be used to cover the underwriter's over-allotment option. The offering will be managed by D.H. Blair Investment Banking Corp.

The company is a ``discrete semiconductor superstore'' which distributes a wide variety of transistors, diodes and other discrete semiconductors and optoelectronic devices to other electronics distributors and to original equipment manufacturers.

The company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay the outstanding indebtedness under its revolving line of credit and to increase the size of its inventory.

The Registration Statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. The securities may not be sold nor may efforts to buy be accepted prior to the time the Registration Statement becomes effective.
