Borland Announces RAD Pack for Delphi; RAD Pack Shortens Development Cycles by Combining Popular Borland Productivity Tools

Business Wire, May 2, 1995

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 1995--In response to the growing demand from Delphi customers for tools that will further speed up their development cycles and increase their productivity, Borland International Inc. today at DB/Expo announced the RAD Pack for Delphi, a powerful new companion tool set, which combines many of Borland's award-winning products into one competitively-priced package. Delphi and Delphi Client/Server, Borland's new rapid application development tools, are already successful among the major resellers in the United States.

"Delphi has been very successful to date, and is quickly becoming a rapid application development tool market leader," said Kathy Pendergast, software buyer at CompUSA.

The RAD Pack includes the Visual Component Library source code, Resource Workshop, Resource Expert, Visual Solutions Pack, Delphi Language Reference Guide and Turbo Debugger in one box to provide Delphi developers with a faster and more productive way to deliver solutions.

"Delphi's widespread early acceptance and support has prompted us to provide our customers with even more tools to rapidly increase programmer productivity," said David Watkins, vice president of Marketing and Support at Borland. "Based on our research, we've included this set of tools in the RAD Pack because these are the most frequently requested by Delphi customers."

The Delphi RAD Pack includes the following tools:
