Reflection Technology Signs Multi-Million Dollar Manufacturing Agreement with Lockheed Martin Commercial Electronics; Lockheed to Begin Immediate Production for FaxView 2000

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 1995--Reflection Technology announced today that it has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Lockheed Martin Commercial Electronics. The agreement states that Lockheed Martin Commercial Electronics will manufacture Reflection's FaxView 2000 personal fax reader, its breakthrough mobile telecommunications product. The first FaxView units will be completed by July 1995.
"Reflection carefully evaluated commercial contract manufacturers before selecting Lockheed Martin Commercial Electronics," said Mike Feldstein, vice president of engineering at Reflection Technology. "The deciding factor was the company's volume capacity and very strong client base, including Motorola."

The agreement with Reflection entails assembly of the units, testing of the final product and distribution to Reflection's customers.

FaxView 2000 Defined
FaxView 2000 personal fax reader, which will be available in the Fall of 1995, is a pocket-sized accessory to cellular phones that allows users to receive and read standard faxes. FaxView incorporates Reflection Technology's patented high resolution Scanned Linear Array (SLA) display, which is the enabling technology for this innovative fax product. The display allows users to view a full page of information through a one-inch window. Small enough to fit into a pocket or purse and weighing only 9 ounces, FaxView provides an easy-to-read full-screen image of a fax document. FaxView is powered by a Motorola 68000 microprocessor.
