GST Telecommunications Inc. Names Earl Kamsky to Head Its Subsidiary, GST Telecom Inc

VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 1995--Earl C. Kamsky has been named president and chief operating officer of GST Telecom, Inc., filling the position vacated by John Warta who has been appointed president and chief executive officer of parent company GST Telecommunications, Inc.

For the past 18 months Kamsky served as president of Communicorp, Inc., a firm engaged in network development and telecommunications consulting services.

Prior to that Kamsky was a vice president of Electric Lightwave, Inc., a competitive access provider that he co-founded with Warta. While at Electric Lightwave, Kamsky's responsibilities spanned the spectrum of company operations from regulatory, legal and public affairs, to corporate sales and administration.

GST Telecommunications is engaged in the design and operation of competitive access and other telecommunications networks throughout North America. Through its subsidiary GST Telecom, also of Vancouver, Wash., the company serves inter-exchange carriers, business customers and government entities, primarily over its all-digital, fiber-optic networks. The company also manufactures and sells digital telecommunications switching equipment and network management and billing systems through its wholly owned subsidiary National Applied Computer Technologies of Orem, Utah.
