Arrow Electronics appoints President of largest business unit

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 1, 1995--Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) announced the appointment of Jan Salsgiver, age 39, as President of the Arrow/Schweber Electronics Group.

Arrow/Schweber, Arrow's largest operating unit, is a broadline distributor of semiconductors and industrial computer products to original equipment manufacturers throughout North America.

During her more than ten years at Arrow, Ms. Salsgiver has held a variety of positions, the most recent of which was President of Zeus Electronics, the Arrow company specializing in the distribution of high reliability components to military and other customers. She previously held a variety of senior marketing positions with the company, including Vice President, Semiconductor Marketing of Arrow/Schweber, and was named a corporate Vice President in 1993.

Ms. Salsgiver received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Cornell University in 1977 and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1981.
