MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1995--Navarre Corporation today announced that an exclusive distribution agreement has been signed with ZAPPA RECORDS based in Studio City, CA. This agreement is in effect immediately.

ZAPPA RECORDS which originally released FRANK ZAPPA albums in the late 70's including "JOE'S GARAGE," has reopened its doors and will be issuing previously unreleased material of FRANK'S, as well as the upcoming "MUSIC FOR PETS" from AHMET and DWEEZIL ZAPPA's band Z. Label President GAIL ZAPPA says: "Purists will remember the Zappa Records logo from 1979, when the label briefly existed and released a few of FZ's recordings. We're very excited to have it up and running again." ZAPPA RECORDS will release a few mainly-orchestral works of FRANK ZAPPA's including FZ's last production, the Music of Edgard Varese, his favorite avant-garde composer. The orchestral work of FRANK's is tentatively scheduled for a Spring '96 release and the Varese project is tentatively planned to ship in December '96.

The name of FRANK ZAPPA, and the work done by the label in the past, are held in very high esteem in the international music and entertainment industries. This addition certainly continues to present Navarre Corporation as a premier distribution company to the entertainment software community."
