State Street Boston names Ronald L. O'Kelley chief financial officer and treasurer

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1995--State Street Boston Corp. (NYSE:STT) announced today that Ronald L. O'Kelley was elected to the position of chief financial officer and treasurer.
O'Kelley will join State Street in early December. He will report to David A. Spina, State Street's vice chairman, who had assumed CFO and treasurer duties on an interim basis.
"Ron comes to State Street with extensive experience in global finance and business management," said Marshall N. Carter, State Street's chairman and chief executive officer. "His experience in varied industries provides a broad business perspective. Ron will be a valuable addition to our management team."

O'Kelley will be a State Street executive vice president. His areas of responsibility will include planning, investor relations, management information services, financial management and analysis, and comptrollers.
Prior to joining State Street, O'Kelley was vice president and chief financial officer of Douglas Aircraft Co., a subsidiary of McDonnell Douglas Corp. In that position, O'Kelley was responsible for business operations, finance and control. Prior to that, O'Kelley was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Rolls-Royce Inc., where he was responsible for all financial operations of the companies U.S. subsidiary. Earlier in his career at Citicorp, O'Kelley was responsible for various operations groups and held both international and domestic assignments. Prior to that, he held various positions in control and finance with Texas Instruments.
O'Kelley holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Duke University and earned a Master's degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
