GLEN COVE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1995--The intense rivalry and spirit of college basketball slams home this spring with Acclaim Entertainment, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: AKLM) new College Slam(TM) video games for all Nintendo(R) and Sega(TM) 16-bit and portable systems, as well as the Sega Saturn(TM), Sony PlayStation(TM) and for personal computers. Featuring 44 of the most popular college basketball teams and eight national fraternity teams, Acclaim's College Slam offers digitized graphics, special moves and power-ups, hidden players and secret codes.

Get Ready to Slam With Honors
Acclaim's College Slam allows up to four players to compete in high-speed, two-on-two basketball action they compete as one of 44 of the most popular college basketball teams, including UCLA, Arkansas, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, Georgetown, Connecticut, Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Nebraska, Alabama and Michigan. In addition, College Slam features digitized graphics; head-to-head, tournament and season match-up modes of play; backboard smashes and net meltdowns; hidden players and secret codes; special fraternity teams; exciting soundtrack of college fight songs; and a season save feature.
Acclaim's College Slam will be supported by a multitiered marketing campaign, including comprehensive print advertising in video game, sport and collegiate publications; broadcast advertising; nationwide promo IDs and on-line promotions. In addition, retailer support in the form of P.O.P.s, in-store videos, banners, posters and counter cards will also support the title; while consumer sweepstakes and innovative cross-promotions are currently being formulated.
