Lanier's high-volume solutions sweep industry analysts awards

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1995--The results are in for 1995, and Lanier's outstanding high-volume facsimile and copier line received considerable attention this year from independent industry analysts such as Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI) and Minnella Enterprises, Inc.
Among the products sharing the spotlight are the LanierFax 6500, recognized as BLI's Pick of the Year Award: "Most Outstanding High-Volume Facsimile Machine of 1994/1995" and the Lanier 6755/6765 copiers, awarded BLI's Pick of the Year Award: "Most Outstanding High-Volume Copier Values of 1994/1995." The Lanier 6613/6713 convenience copiers and 6725 low-volume copier were honorable mentions by BLI.

To be selected as "Pick of the Year" means a product has provided outstanding performance in BLI's extensive tests and has proven to be the best of the best in its product category," said Anthony Polifrone, president of Buyers Laboratory.
To determine award recipients, BLI compared 45 fax machines and 82 copiers in low-mid-and high-volume ranges. For facsimiles, features tested included scanning speed, ease of operation and use, memory capacity, copy quality, case of maintenance and performance of special features. For copiers, BLI considered copy quality, productivity efficiency, economy, reliability, ease of use and misfeed frequency.
Minnella Enterprises compared the Lanier 6765 versus eight other Segment 4b models ranging from 60 to 65 CPM. In the area of speed, which includes 11 Productivity Factors, the Lanier 6765 won a gold award! It also won two silver awards in the productivity category of Document Feeder Running Rate and in the area of Document Feeder Speeds which includes five productivity categories.
