Black Box Corporation announces changes in board of directors

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1995--Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today that, effective November 8, 1995, Jeffery M. Boetticher, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing Michael E. Barker, formerly an executive of Odyssey Partners, L.P. Odyssey recently sold its position in Black Box in a secondary offering that was completed on September 20, 1995. Mr. Barker will continue to serve as a director of the Company.
Also in connection with the sale of Odyssey's position, Steven M. Friedman and James D. Halper have resigned from the Board. Mr. Friedman was a general partner of Odyssey until December 31, 1993 while Mr. Halper continues to be a principal of Odyssey. The Board has established a nominating committee to propose replacements for Messrs. Friedman and Halper. Until these candidates are selected, the Board will be comprised of six members.
