Elephant & Castle opens first "Elephant On Campus"

VANCOUVER, Bc--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1995--Elephant & Castle (NASDAQ: PUBSF ) Elephant & Castle Group Inc. of Vancouver, BC (NASDAQ-PUBSF) has opened its first "Elephant on Campus".
This new 300-seat Restaurant/Pub will cater to the student body on the Campus of the British Columbia Institute of Technology which has, on average, 24,000 part-time and 12,000 full-time students. The restaurant will feature a special menu designed for the students' busy schedule along with a full range of imported and domestic beers, along with 16 different draft products on tap.
In August of this year, the company also opened a 200-seat New York style deli restaurant in the Rosedale Hotel located in Vancouver, B.C. called "Rosie's on Robson". The owner of the hotel "The Chevalier Group", a Hong Kong developer, and the company have entered into an agreement similar to those at the Holiday Inn locations where the company will provide all the hotel's food and catering services.
Including the new Elephant & Castle's restaurant in Philadelphia's downtown Holiday Inn Select Hotel, a total of three new restaurants have been opened this year. Additional Elephant & Castle locations are scheduled for a 600-room Holiday Inn on the Embarcardero in San Diego, and a 500-room Crowne Plaza Hotel at Union Square in San Francisco.
