National Mediation Board proffers arbitration to Federal Express and Air Line Pilots Association

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1995--Federal Express Corporation announced today that the National Mediation Board (NMB) has proffered arbitration to Federal Express and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) to resolve the remaining differences in their contract negotiations.
If both sides accept arbitration, the arbitrator's decision regarding unresolved contract terms and conditions would be binding on both parties. If either side rejects this proffer of arbitration, the NMB may commence a 30-day cooling-off period.
