Georgia Power Co. makes announcement

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 1995--Georgia Power Co. has accepted bids today for the sale of $50 million of Development Authority of Burke County Pollution Control Revenue Bonds (Georgia Power Company Plant Vogtle Project), Sixth Series 1995, due Nov. 1, 2000.
Chemical Securities Inc. submitted the winning bid. The bonds will bear interest at 4.375% per annum and the cost to Georgia Power will be 4.42% annually. Payment of the principle and interest of the bonds will be insured by a municipal bond insurance policy to be issued by AMBAC Indemnity Corp. The closing of these bonds is scheduled for Nov. 8, 1995.
