Day-Timer Technologies adds business document templates to Day-Timer Organizer; Day-Timer Organizer now facilitates creation of professional-looking letterhead, fax cover sheets and more
Business Wire, Oct 30, 1995
SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1995--Day-Timer Technologies, Inc. today announced it will add selected business document templates from Streetwise Software, Inc.'s popular Design Portfolio to the Day-Timer Organizer 2.0 personal information manager (PIM) for Windows.
With the addition of these templates, users of Day-Timer Organizer can quickly and easily create a number of professional-looking business documents, avoiding the need for costly offset printing or graphic design fees. Day-Timer Organizer will include two fax cover sheet and letterhead templates, as well as a business card and purchase order template.
Users simply call up the Design Portfolio templates from the mail merge function of Day-Timer Organizer. An address from Day-Timer Organizer's AddressBook module can be easily placed onto a fax cover sheet or any other template.
Users who are looking for even more templates can now purchase the complete Day-Timer edition of Design Portfolio software. It includes more than 300 business document templates and is available through Day-Timers.
The links between Day-Timer Organizer and Design Portfolio will also enable Word and WordPerfect users to tap contact and other information stored by Day-Timer Organizer when creating documents.
"We expect the Design Portfolio templates to further bolster the appeal of Day-Timer Organizer among home and small office users, who can now create striking business documents directly from their organizer software -- inexpensively and conveniently," said Kathy Kane, vice president of Day-Timer Technologies.
Day-Timer Organizer 2.0 is a powerful, flexible, simple-to-use personal information manager software program for comprehensive time and information management. It provides scheduling, task management, address book and expense tracking functions in tightly integrated modules. The product offers highly flexible printing options to answer the demand for computer and paper integration. Recently upgraded with dozens of new features to boost its power, networkability and ease of use, the product is available for MS-Windows and Macintosh, in single-use and network versions.
The templates will also be available in Day-Timer AddressBook in early 1996. Day-Timer AddressBook is a full-featured phone and address management system designed for users who need address, phone and contact management without the full functionality of a PIM. It enables users to quickly and easily locate, sort, update and print contact information.
Both products have an easy-to-use interface that mimics the world-famous paper-based Day-Timer system, so that users of paper planners can easily transition to Day-Timer Organizer on their personal computer or network systems. They are available in retail stores and through the Day-Timer catalog as standalone products and as part of complete time management systems with the popular paper-based Day-Timer products.
