Deloitte & Touche LLP creates semi-customized course with MicroMash CustomNotes to deliver computer-based CPE training
Business Wire, Oct 5, 1995
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1995--MicroMash, the leading developer and provider of computer-based training for professional education and a subsidiary of ICS Learning Systems, announced today that it has taken its Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Series course, Internal Controls for Auditors and Managers Theory, and developed a semi-customized version for Deloitte & Touche LLP using MicroMash's newly developed CustomNotes feature. This new feature allows a preeminent firm such as Deloitte & Touche to tailor any MicroMash course through the use of content-specific memos within the software to meet the firm's unique needs easily and efficiently - all at a fraction of the cost of custom-developed software.
"Finding a way to provide cost-effective, customized courses for our large volume users which doesn't require lengthy development time has always been a priority for MicroMash. CustomNotes enables us to achieve this objective," said MicroMash President Elizabeth Monroe. "A firm such as Deloitte & Touche can incorporate guidance on policies and procedures into an individual course. As the user progresses through the course, the memo feature will be marked, signaling the user to read information from special notes for each screen or section the firm has selected. Not only does the user learn the theory of internal controls, through CustomNotes the user can receive firm-specific guidance on how to apply the information or where to find other relevant internal information," she said.
"Communication of firm policies and procedures is of utmost importance at Deloitte & Touche. With CustomNotes we can be assured that we are providing our professionals with material that covers both course content and applicable policies and procedures," said Tom Mitchell, Deloitte & Touche's Industry Professional Development Director.
