Victor Vroom's leadership program comes to The Anderson School at UCLA

Business Wire, Oct 5, 1995

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1995--Victor Vroom, an international authority on the psychological analysis of behavior in organizations, will bring his world-renowned leadership program to UCLA in November.

Vroom's presentation at the Anderson Graduate School of Management will be his first in Los Angeles in the 14-year history of his program.

Vroom, who teaches at the Yale School of Management, is an expert in leadership, job satisfaction and decision making. He has been a consultant to more than 50 major corporations and has written more than 50 articles and nine books, including "Leadership and Decision Making" and "The New Leadership."

Vroom's program, which was created for executives and managers who want to improve their leadership and interpersonal skills, addresses when to be participative, when to be autocratic and when to employ both approaches simultaneously. Innovative learning techniques, such as "role-playing" with professional actors and situation videotaping, help prepare executives to meet stressful demands and act quickly and effectively in any situation.

The four-day program is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 17. Class sessions include Managing Participation in Organizations, Managerial Leadership, Group and Computer Feedback, Rational and Emotional Processes and Active Listening.

Tuition is $3,200 and covers books, educational materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, refreshment breaks, receptions, opening and closing dinners and lodging for three nights.

To register, or for more information, call the Anderson School Office of Executive Education at 310/825-2001.
