(NASDAQ:DLGC), the world's leading supplier of computer telephony (CT) hardware and software platforms, has significantly expanded its product line support for Microsoft Corp.'s Windows NT operating system through the availability of System Development Package Version 4.1 and 4.1 SC (Signal Computing bus).

These complete call processing development kits for Windows NT environments provides application developers with the software tools necessary to implement Dialogic's full range of voice processing platforms, high feature voice and facsimile products, and automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology within CT systems.

Dialogic's Windows NT Development Package Version 4.1 and 4.1 SC are based on the company's original field-proven version widely utilized by a broad customer base since 1993.

In addition to increased product line support, Version 4.1 and 4.1 SC also provide broader international support, new native Windows installation and configuration capabilities, and improved support of the Bellcore-Initiated Analog Display Service's Interface (ADSI) standard for screen-based telephones.

"The expanded product support offered by this new version of Dialogic's WinNT support will enable our customers to fulfill their individual business needs," said Bruce Cohen, director of voice marketing at Digital Equipment Corp.

The Dialogic System Developers Package Version 4.1 and 4.1 SC for Windows NT are the latest in the Dialogic tradition of providing robust power and flexibility for developers of applications in the CPE (customer premise equipment) and telephone network marketplaces.

Version 4.1 and 4.1 SC can accommodate a broad spectrum of applications including unified messaging/voice messaging, interactive voice response, LAN-based CT services, telemarketing, fax on demand, operator services, Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN)/ Intelligent peripherals and fax broadcast.

The Package incorporates a host of features including a single programming paradigm designed for all CT technologies, application scalability for use on small or large systems, thread support to optimize system resource utilization, and a Dynamic Link Library to reduce version dependencies.

"Windows NT has been making steady market inroads as a high-end multi-purpose server operating system that meshes well with CT applications," said Steven Andrews, Dialogic's Windows product manager.

"We've had great response from our customer base utilizing previous versions of our Windows NT System Development Package. At the same time, we wanted our development partners to be able to fully incorporate other Dialogic offerings into NT applications including our 24-channel, single-slot, high-density voice boards.

"The growing popularity of the Windows NT platform, in conjunction with Dialogic's enhanced product support for applications in the Windows NT environment, will enable developers to provide robust CT applications within a highly functional and powerful computing environment."
