Augat makes initial delivery on Time Warner Cable Network upgrade; Company's communications products division selected by cable giant to provide transmission equipment for advancement of Kansas City system

MANSFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1995--Augat Inc. (NYSE:AUG) today announced that its Communications Products Division has made initial delivery of RF amplifiers and coaxial connectors to be used in the upgrade of Time Warner Cable's American Cablevision System in Kansas City, Mo.

This contract was originally awarded in July 1993, but construction of the upgrade was delayed until this year.

The system enhancement will serve approximately 200,000 American Cablevision subscribers and span more than 3,400 miles of cable. Augat will ship products totaling in excess of $8,000,000 during this upgrade, expected to take approximately two and a half years to complete.
