Vasco Data Security names Richard M. Vaden vice president of business development

LOMBARD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 1995--T. Kendall Hunt, president, VASCO Corp. (VASCO) announced Monday that its subsidiary, VASCO Data Security Inc. (VDSI), has named Richard M. Vaden Jr. as vice president, business development.
Hunt said, "Mr. Vaden has the experience and industry contacts to dramatically accelerate our growth through identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships."
Vaden's primary objectives will be to head VDSI's Strategic Partnership program and to oversee worldwide sales efforts. Vaden will be responsible for establishing VDSI as the "vendor of choice" for Extended User Authentication and workstation access control for corporate customers, software and hardware vendors, and network access providers.
Vaden is based in the Washington D.C. area, giving him access to a large number of high-technology companies having their headquarters or major operations in that area. He will also establish a sales force in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Vaden has over 20 years of experience in the operation of large system complexes. He has specialized in the security system networks, from large main-frames to mid-range systems and desktop workstations, for most of that period. Vaden currently holds the certification of Vendor Security Analyst with the National Computer Security Center.
Prior to joining VDSI, Vaden held various positions with Computer Associates International Inc., including Product Technical Manager for the Security Control and Audit (SCA) products; Technical Director, Federal Sales Division; Technical Director, Business Development; and most recently, Project Manager for the CA-ACF2/B1 NCSC Evaluation project.
Prior to Computer Associates, Vaden was with COMSAT Corp., Washington D.C., where he managed the System Security and Customer Support departments of the MIS Division.
