Ostex shareholders elect Glaser

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 1995--Ostex International Inc. (NASDAQ:OSTX) said today that shareholders at the company's annual meeting elected Robert J. Glaser as a director for a three-year term.
Shareholders also ratified the appointment of Arthur Andersen LLP as auditors for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1995.
Glaser was appointed to Ostex's board of directors in May, filling a vacancy resulting from the resignation of Errol S. McKinney. Glaser is senior vice president, marketing, U.S. Human Health, with Merck & Co. (NYSE:MRK) in West Point, Penn.
He is principally responsible for the commercialization of Merck's new drug Fosamax, a therapy for osteoporosis currently under review by the Food and Drug Administration.
Ostex International is a Seattle-based company engaged in the discovery and development of diagnostics and therapeutics for diseases of the skeleton. The company completed its initial public offering of common stock on Jan. 25, 1995.
