IMSI acquires FloorPlan Plus 3D software from ComputerEasy; acquisition expands IMSI's line of design products for small business and home use

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 1995-- International Microcomputer Software, Inc., (NASDAQ: IMSI), a leading developer and publisher of quality software for the SOHO and consumer markets, today announced that it has acquired all rights to the FloorPlan Plus and 3D Design(TM) line of software products from Phoenix, Arizona based ComputerEasy International, Inc.

FloorPlan Plus 3D is a 3-dimensional architectural and space planning program for small business professionals and home users. The user may design a home addition or remodel in 2D and FloorPlan automatically converts the drawing into 3D. The user can then walk through the 3D model in real time. FloorPlan Plus 3D includes extensive 2D and 3D object libraries and is Windows 95 and Windows 3.1 compatible. The suggested retail price is $69.95.

FloorPlan Plus is the best selling 2D Space Planning program for Windows with over 500,000 units sold to date. Users can quickly and easily create floor plans for home or business. This product includes extensive 2D object libraries, is upward compatible with Floor Plan Plus 3D, and is fully Windows 95, Windows 3.1, and Macintosh compatible. Suggested retail price is $29.95 for the Windows version and $49.95 for the Macintosh version.

3D Design Plus is an easy to use and affordable program for 3D modeling. It includes features found in high-end 3D modeling software programs such as ray tracing, 3D animation and texture mapping. Images from 3D Design Plus are fully compatible for use with FloorPlan Plus 3D. 3D Design Plus is Windows 95 and Windows 3.1 compatible. Suggested retail price is $69.95.
