Planes, trains and automobiles included; Virgin Value Fares include air, rail or car bonuses

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1996--Virgin Atlantic Airways is offering the choice of a round-trip flight on British Midland Airways, a round-trip ride to Paris on the Eurostar channel tunnel train or a week's car rental from Avis when purchasing Virgin's 21-day advance purchase Virgin Value Fare.

From Boston, Newark and New York JFK, "Virgin Value Fares" start at $686 for travel June 1 through Sept. 30. From Los Angeles and San Francisco, Virgin Value Fares are as low as $886. Fares for travel in October start at $546 from Boston, Newark and New York JFK, and $726 from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

"Virgin has always offered more value in the air with amenities like individual video screens at every seat on every aircraft," said Executive Vice President David Tait. "Now Virgin extends its added value concept by offering other forms of transportation at no additional cost."

British Midland tickets are valid for economy class travel from London to Belfast, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds/Bradford, Teeside and Paris. Eurostar service is for Standard Class to Paris, and is valid on all trains, every day.

The Avis rental includes a "Group A" car with unlimited mileage, 17.5 percent VAT and the freedom to pick up and drop off the car at any Avis UK rental location. Daily upgrade rates are available.

Virgin Atlantic Airways serves London from seven North American cities, flying from Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, Orlando and San Francisco. Virgin Atlantic also offers service to London from Milwaukee, via Boston, with code-share partner Midwest Express Airlines. The carrier will add service to Orlando from Manchester on May 17, and to Washington Dulles from London Heathrow beginning June 26.
