Tracking and presentation program add ons; Bob's Discount successful expands system usage

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 12, 1996--ModaCAD introduced an add on option to the ModaFINITY program for video cataloging and electronic merchandising that actually accurately measures sales usage of the ModaFINITY system in store.

While using the ModaFINITY program the system measures volume of usage per individual salesperson including each log on period and total usage. In addition, the tracking system can be used in chains with multiple locations and with client server configurations where each individual store and each sales member will be tracked in individual reports. A powerful program addition, the tracking system is designed to aid sales management in fully utilizing ModaFINITY.

The new presentation tool is tailor made for individual salespeople to custom make presentations of customer choices or "hot merchandise" options that can involve furniture, group settings, casegoods, accessories and more. Designed as a salesman tool to easily group specialized merchandise for individual customers, the presentation feature allows the salesperson to save customer choices while directly working with a customer.

The salesperson simply selects merchandise while using ModaFINITY, presses a save button and names the presentation. Each item can be saved in a group setting with other complimentary items with various frame and fabric combinations, casegoods and accessories that the customer has chosen. Items that compliment the individual sofa choice can be saved in specialized presentations. The new presentation add on option gives each store an easy way to merchandise items together and increase the sales potential of each sale.

Bob's Discount Furniture, a high profile top 100 retailer and one of the fastest growing retail chains with sales volumes exceeding $40 million, has been successfully using ModaCAD's ModaFINITY programs.
