JVC Professional Products Company names National Sales Manager

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 1996--JVC PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS COMPANY has appointed Scott Watson as National Sales Manager for professional products.

In his position, Watson will direct sales of JVC's professional line of VCRs, cameras, monitors, projectors and editing systems throughout the United States.

Watson comes to JVC from the Toshiba Corp. where he was Business Planning and Marketing Manager for the CCTV group. He has previously held positions in regional and national sales management at Panasonic, Ikegami, Ampex and Avid Technologies.

"Scott's great knowledge of the industry will help JVC maintain its position of leadership. With numerous changes taking place, including the migration to digital, Scott's vast experience and marketing savvy will be invaluable," said Mike Yoshida, president of the company.

At NAB, JVC introduced Digital-S, a new digital tape format that is far superior to conventional analog tape formats. "These new products will broaden JVC's reach into higher end markets," said Yoshida. "We are expecting substantial growth for JVC over the next few years. We're thrilled that Scott decided to join us."

A New Jersey native, Watson holds a bachelor's degree from Montclair State College and a master's degree in Educational Communications and Technology from Jersey City State College. Watson and his family will be relocating to New Jersey from the Chicago area.
