V3 Semiconductor hires CEO John Zambakkides

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1996--V3 Semiconductor today announces that John Zambakkides has been appointed chief executive officer and president of the company.
Zambakkides was the general manager of Fairchild's Canadian Semiconductor operations. After National Semiconductor acquired Fairchild he was appointed Canadian General Manager for the two companies. Zambakkides was responsible for building and managing one of the company's largest regional divisions and served on the board of directors for both companies for thirteen years.
He was instrumental in setting up and supporting both the V3 and National Semiconductor alliance as well as the recent foundry agreement with Samsung Semiconductor.
V3 Semiconductor Inc., the Embedded Chipset Company, is a manufacturer of integrated circuits for the embedded computer market. V3's embedded chipsets support the market leaders in embedded RISC microprocessors: Intel, AMD and IBM.
