Business Wire, April 24, 1996
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1996--Emulation Technology (ET), the leader in advanced interconnect devices and PC-based development tools, today announced the appointment of Jack Stephens as vice president of marketing and sales. Former ET director of operations, Stephens brings more than 15 years of both domestic and international operations and sales management experience to the position.
Stephens was an executive vice president with Gas Tech, Inc., a gas detection company, before he joined ET in November 1994. At that post, he held full marketing, engineering and operations responsibilities. He also had full P&L responsibility for a $2.5 million division of the company. Prior to his appointment at Gas Tech, Inc., Mr. Stephens worked as the operations manager for Coherent, Inc. a laser medical company, where he was given the challenge of increasing profitability and improving manufacturing capabilities of a European division in a relatively short period of time. Stephens successfully turned the division around in less than six months.
"Not only does Jack have a proven track record in both operations and sales, he has experience and knowledge about our business and the needs of the semiconductor industry," said Joseph Bagliere, president and chief executive officer of ET. "We are looking forward to continued growth and expansion for the company and Jack will play a key role in making that happen."
"Given both my domestic and international experience, and considering the global focus of ET's business, I am excited to begin fulfilling this leadership role," explained Mr. Stephens of his new appointment to vice president of sales and marketing. "ET is a results-oriented company; our employees as well as our customers have come to expect top-notch products and services from us, and my new position will enable me to better communicate these messages to the sales community."
Stephens holds a master's degree in business from San Francisco State University and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Founded in 1983, Emulation Technology is the industry leader in advanced interconnect devices and provides a comprehensive family of PC-based development tools backed by 24-hour, seven-day post-sale technical support. With more than 4,000 product offerings, ET has more than 35,000 customers and operations in 40 countries worldwide. Headquartered at 2344 Walsh Avenue, Bldg.
