VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1996--BLUE DESERT MINING INC. (Alberta Stock Exchange: BDE ) (50 percent) and Blue Mountain Power Company Inc. (50 percent) have acquired the Snowstorm Project comprising 52 claims in the northern part of the Carlin Trend, Elko County, Nevada.
The Blue Desert claims cover faulted, altered and mineralized rocks in a similar volcanic and structural environment to the Rex Grande Deposit of Franco and Euro-Nevada located eight miles southwest. Other companies active in the area include Crown Resources, Barrick Gold, and Romarco Minerals.
A compilation of the past gold exploration work in the area is underway.
