Humanic Design Corp. and Business Objects partner to offer enhanced HRMS features
Business Wire, April 30, 1996
MAHWAH, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 1996--Humanic Design Corp. announced that it has expanded its reporting and analysis tools to incorporate Business Objects' BUSINESSOBJECTS tool as an integral product within the Humanic HRMS.
BUSINESSOBJECTS is an integrated query and reporting toolset that provides non-technical end users with the ability to autonomously access information stored in corporate databases. Humanic Design is recommending that Humanic HRMS customers use the BUSINESSOBJECTS tool with its system to further enhance their reporting and analysis capabilities.
"BUSINESSOBJECTS used in conjunction with the proven functionality of the Humanic HRMS will provide customers with a robust solution that works consistently across all hardware platforms," said Maria Normile, senior project manager, Humanic Design. "Business Objects is an industry leader in the decision support tools market, and partnering with them provides our customers with a best-of-breed solution."
Humanic HRMS is the industry's first open client/server HR system. A 100 percent pure Oracle-based system, Humanic HRMS is built completely on the Oracle RDBMS with Oracle development tools making all aspects of the system non-proprietary, allowing for cost effective and efficient development, modification and customization activities.
As a result, it runs on virtually every hardware platform, operating system or network protocol, including PC networks, midrange UNIX platforms, and mainframes. It features an open graphical user interface (GUI) with client versions for MS Windows, Macintosh, Motif and other X-based Windows GUIs.
"The integration of BUSINESSOBJECTS and Humanic HRMS enables our mutual customers to gain instant access to important human resource data stored in their corporate databases, enabling them to make business-intelligent decisions," said Jeff Coombs, director of channel development for Business Objects. "We now offer well-integrated solutions for customers who want to combine the powerful query, reporting, and analysis of BUSINESSOBJECTS with the human resource management functionality of Humanic's client/server applications."
The Humanic HRMS integrated with the BUSINESSOBJECTS offerings will be available in the second quarter of 1996. Pricing for the tools are based on a per seat basis, and will include delivery of the Humanic set of database Universes. This will allow for easy point and click reporting and analysis for the casual or power user of the Humanic HRMS.
Business Objects (NASDAQ:BOBJY) is a leading provider of enterprise decision support tools that delivers access to data stored in corporate databases, data warehouse and packaged applications.

Business Objects generated over $60M in revenue in 1995, concluding its fifth consecutive year of more than 100% revenue growth. BUSINESSOBJECTS has been licensed in more than 40 countries to over 2,600 customer sites and 130,000 users worldwide.
