Wyndham Enters Canadian Market With Toronto's Bristol Place Hotel

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 1996--Wyndham Hotel Corporation (NYSE: WYN) announced today that on August 30, 1996 it will purchase and take over the management of the Bristol Place Hotel in Toronto.

The hotel will be known as the Wyndham Bristol Place Hotel at Toronto Airport. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located at 950 Dixon Road at Pearson International Airport, the Wyndham Bristol Place Hotel has 287 rooms and suites, banquet and meeting facilities for 500, as well as an indoor-outdoor pool and a health club.

It is also easily accessible to Toronto's major attractions including: Niagara Falls, CN Tower, SkyDome, Ontario Place, Ontario Science Center and the Maple Leaf Gardens. Nearby is the Canadian Exposition and Conference Center as well as six major shopping centers.

Wyndham will spend more than $3 million to renovate the public areas and upgrade all bathrooms.
